Our story

My journey began with a remarkable Italian Greyhound named Emerald. This regal and spirited dog introduced me to the world of Italian Greyhounds and became my companion, my inspiration, and the driving force.

From the very instant, I saw Emerald, we developed an inseparable bond that went beyond the typical owner-pet relationship. His intelligence, loyalty, and gentle nature made him the perfect companion for our daily adventures. His enthusiasm and dedication were unwavering whether we were out on a leisurely stroll or participating in dog shows.

I was captivated by the breed's elegance, grace, and refined nature. Soon after Emerald in our home appeared two more Italian Greyhound males Dallas and Hector, and we totally fell in love with these sleek and slender Italian Greyhounds. Our love and admiration for the breed inspired me to venture into the world of dog showing and breeding.

Emerald’s name, which I had a chance to choose for him when he was born, carries reach symbolism. The name Emerald is often associated with beauty and elegance. Just as the gemstone itself is adored for its mesmerizing green hue, the name conveys a sense of natural allure and grace. In ancient cultures, this gemstone was believed to attract good fortune, fertility, and material success.

Emerald green (my favorite color) is often associated with nature and the environment, representing growth, freshness, and renewal. It is also often associated with feelings of hope, optimism, and positivity.

Emeralds are believed to possess healing properties and to bring balance and renewal to the mind, body, and spirit. Throughout history, emeralds have been associated with wisdom and insight.

History

2014-2016

Falling in love with breed

In 2014 I brought home our first Italian Greyhound - Emerald Sunnymoon Place. I was captivated by the breed's elegance, grace, and refined nature.

Soon after Emerald in our home appeared two more Italian Greyhound males Dallas Sunnymoon Place and Zabava Znaty Hector, and we totally fell in love with this noble breed. My love and admiration for the breed inspired me to venture into the world of dog showing and breeding.

During these years all my 3 boys gained prestigious titles of International Champions and my first girl Brenda Sunnymoon de Windcatcher came to our home.

2016-2024

Breeding in Sunnymoon Place kennel

For 10 years I was co-owner of Sunnymoon Place kennel. During these years the kennel earned widespread international recognition, our dogs were Top-1 Italian Greyhounds in Ukraine for 9 years in a row, and won numerous prestigious titles around the world.

In the beginning of 2024, the kennel's co-owners have decided to go separate ways, each pursuing a bit different views and goals within the Italian Greyhound breeding.

2024

New beginning

Continuing the legacy of excellence I helped to establish at Sunnymoon Place kennel, I launched my kennel “From Emerald Galaxy” which includes all dogs living in my house and with my friends.

Careful selection of breeding stock, collaboration with best breeders around the world, well-planned matings, and meticulous attention to health continue to be the cornerstones of my breeding program. My background, experience, deep understanding of genetics and breeding practices, and also unwavering passion for Italian Greyhounds I now embody in “From Emerald Galaxy” kennel.
